Stainless Steel 317L is an austenitic alloy that typically contains about 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, along with a low carbon content (≤0.03%) to minimize carbide precipitation during welding. This unique composition gives it superior pitting resistance compared to 316L. The usual mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 515–690 MPa, yield strength around 205–275 MPa, and an elongation exceeding 40% in its annealed state. Hardness usually falls between 150–200 HB, depending on how it’s processed. This alloy remains stable and corrosion-resistant in environments rich in chlorides and at elevated temperatures, complete with full material certification.

High resistance to corrosion by chlorides and acids available as sheets and plates from a thickness of 3mm to 100mm in width to 2 meters. The hot-rolled product allows heavy usage because it produces a tough and durable finish.
With high corrosion resistance, the cold rolling provides cold rolled sheets and plates that range in thickness from 0.3mm to 6mm, with widths reaching up to 1.5 meters. In the case of cold rolling, it leaves the surface very smooth and precise for aesthetic and high-precision uses.
They have been designed with the patterned surface for superior friction and slip resistance. Chequered sheets and plates provide superior resistance to corrosion. These products are available from 1.5mm up to 6mm thickness in custom sizes as per application requirements.
