SS201 is a low-nickel, high-manganese austenitic stainless alloy with a typical composition of Cr ~16–18%, Ni ~3.5–5.5%, Mn ~5.5–7.5%, along with C ≤0.15%, Si, and trace amounts of N. The manganese helps offset the lower nickel content, ensuring adequate austenite stability and strength. For stud bolts made from SS201, the typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 500–700 MPa, yield strength around 250–350 MPa, and elongation between 25–40%, depending on the cold-working process. While SS201 is non-magnetic when annealed, it can develop slight magnetism after cold forming, making it unsuitable for aggressive chloride environments.
