With full material traceability, tested batches, and quick regional delivery, Khaled Stainless is here to support large-scale fabricators and EPC contractors with dependable SAW consumables for essential stainless steel welding projects.
ER317L is a low-carbon, molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless steel welding wire. Its typical composition features chromium at 18–20%, nickel at 11–14%, molybdenum at 3–4%, and a low carbon content (max 0.03%) to help prevent intergranular corrosion. When paired with the right basic or neutral flux, the weld metal achieves tensile strength between 550–750 MPa, yield strength around 350–450 MPa, and elongation of about 30–40%. This weld metal is known for its excellent toughness, crack resistance, and enhanced pitting and crevice corrosion resistance compared to 316L.

Our team takes great care in packing AWS Class ER317L SAW and FLUX to ensure they are well-protected. We always use the best packing materials that meet industry standards, including strong wooden boxes, tough pallets, and eco-friendly packing materials. This careful packing ensures that no dirt or dust will contaminate the products, thus ensuring high quality. Furthermore, our packaging protects the products during transportation to prevent damage or contamination. Ultimately, our attention to detail and commitment to quality control reflect our best efforts to ensure that the best products reach our customers.
ER317L SAW wire and flux systems are ideal for high-deposition welding of thick stainless steel plates and pipes that are subjected to harsh chemical and chloride environments. Common applications include pressure vessels, heat exchangers, chemical reactors, offshore structural components, desalination plant piping, and heavy process equipment. Thanks to its higher molybdenum content, ER317L outperforms 316L in acidic and high-chloride conditions. It’s a popular choice in chemical plants, fertilizer units, pulp and paper mills, and marine fabrications where long-lasting corrosion resistance is crucial.
