Stainless Steel 304H is a high-carbon austenitic alloy that typically contains around 18–20% chromium, 8–11% nickel, and 0.04–0.10% carbon. The higher carbon content boosts its strength at high temperatures and improves creep resistance. It boasts a tensile strength ranging from about 515–750 MPa, a yield strength of around 205–320 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35–40%. 304H excels in oxidation resistance up to 870°C and maintains its structural integrity even under prolonged heat exposure. It’s non-magnetic when annealed and offers good weldability with the right heat management.
