Stainless Steel 310S Flanges is a low-carbon, high-temperature resistant alloy consisting of mainly 25% chromium and 20% nickel, with the presence of some silicon, manganese, and carbon. This particular composition gives this alloy better resistance to oxidation and corrosion, therefore suitable for service in high temperatures. The mechanical properties of 310S consist of tensile strength of 520-700 MPa, yield strength of 205-310 MPa, and elongation of 40-50%. It offers high weldability, formability as well as provides excellent scaling resistance even up to 1150°C. 310S flanges made from stainless steel find their usage in furnaces and heat exchanger applications along with chemical processing equipments.
