Stainless Steel 310 is an austenitic alloy that boasts high levels of chromium and nickel—typically around 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel—providing exceptional stability at high temperatures. The carbon content is moderate, usually up to about 0.25%, along with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and nitrogen. This alloy excels in resisting oxidation and scaling at elevated temperatures, with a service capability close to 1100–1150°C. Under standard conditions, it typically exhibits tensile strength between 515–750 MPa, yield strength around 205–310 MPa, and elongation of about 30–40%, all while maintaining good toughness and creep resistance when properly specified for thermal applications.
