Stainless Steel 17-4 PH is a precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel that contains about 15–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, and 3–5% copper, along with small amounts of niobium and very low carbon. This alloy achieves remarkable strength through a combination of solution treatment and aging. After heat treatment, you can expect mechanical properties like a tensile strength ranging from 930 to 1310 MPa, yield strength between 720 and 1170 MPa, and elongation of about 8 to 15%. It boasts excellent hardness, good corrosion resistance, and stable mechanical performance across a wide temperature range.
