Stainless Steel 316 is an austenitic alloy that typically contains around 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, with carbon levels usually capped at 0.08%. Its mechanical properties are impressive, boasting a tensile strength of about 515–750 MPa, yield strength of around 205–310 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35–45%.
