Khaled Stainless, based in Cairo, Egypt, is a trusted source for AWS Class E316/316H-16 stainless steel welding electrodes, specifically designed for demanding corrosion- and heat-resistant applications. These low-hydrogen, rutile-coated electrodes provide a smooth and stable arc, excellent slag removal, and produce clean, high-quality welds. Khaled Stainless maintains strict quality control over coating, core wire chemistry, and batch consistency to comply with international AWS and ASME standards. These electrodes are commonly used in refineries, chemical plants, marine fabrication, and structural stainless projects, available in standard diameters with quick regional supply and expert welding support.
E316/316H-16 electrodes create an austenitic stainless weld metal that contains about 18–20% chromium, 11–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, enhancing resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The 316H variant has a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) for better strength at elevated temperatures. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 550–750 MPa, yield strength around 350–450 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%. The weld metal is known for its excellent toughness, crack resistance, and strong performance even at high temperatures.

We ensure products of high quality such as AWS Class E316/316H-16 Electrodes with hard-testing, spectro-analysis, PMI, and flare tests. On the other hand, we ensure high quality material delivery through micro-macro tests, pitting resistance, and IGC tests. In addition to these, full documentation of commercial invoices, packaging lists, third-party inspection certificates, along with legalized certificate of origin for an unmatched satisfaction level from the customer side while being sure about product reliability.
E316/316H-16 electrodes are ideal for welding 316 and 316H stainless steels, especially in joints that face harsh chemicals, moisture, and high temperatures. They are commonly used in chemical processing equipment, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, pipelines, food-processing machinery, and marine structures. The added molybdenum gives these electrodes superior resistance to chlorides, acids, and saltwater compared to 304-grade fillers. The 316H variant is particularly favored for applications requiring long-term strength at high operating temperatures, such as in boilers, reactors, and thermal piping systems. These electrodes are a popular choice due to their consistent performance and reliability.
