Stainless Steel 17-4 PH is a unique precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel that contains about 15–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, and 3–5% copper, along with trace amounts of niobium and low carbon. This alloy can be heat-treated to achieve remarkable strength. After aging, its typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 930 to 1310 MPa, a yield strength of approximately 720 to 1170 MPa, and an elongation of about 8 to 15%.
